Destination: Moab!

Moab is by far one of my all-time favorite places to go and visit and climb. The experience, the vibes, the views, and best of all the climbing!

I’ve done the cross-country drive numerous times and getting to Moab is kind of a pain. This time around, I flew into Salt Lake City and rented a small car to then do the 3-4 hour drive down to Moab. The drive is stunning and I highly suggest doing that at some point if you’ve never done it.

Once you’re in Moab, the possibilities are endless. There’s climbing everywhere! Wall Street is such a classic area. The word “roadside” was created here. JK but seriously, you can belay out of your car if you really wanted to. ( I don’t think you should, but you do you!). If you want to be more secluded, you can go check out “The Ice Cream Parlor” which is a little bit of a drive down into this canyon but the views and climbing there is top-notch too. Arches National Park offers climbing and hikes. There’s also the option to go chase Towers with Castleton Tower, and Ancient Art all within a 30 minute drive from Moab.

After hiking or climbing, you can head back to the main strip for beers, food, and souvenirs for your friends and families. There’s tons of options and I enjoy supporting the local artists and buying their pottery. I’m a big fan of mugs and I’ll happily spend my money on that lol.

Moab also boasts lots of history and after a day of climbing at Wall Street, you can drive to the end of the wall and see some petroglyphs high on the cliff band. It’s pretty awesome to see them like 30+ feet off the ground. There’s a board that explains when, where, and who did them.

I personally enjoy the climbing and camping aspects of being out in Moab. Being able to disconnect and just have a great reset in the desert is what these trips are all about.

My trip out here is coming to a close and I just feel rejuvenated and overall just optimistic. Both about the present and of the future. I am so excited that I get to share these amazing places with guests and I hope whomever reads this comes and climbs with me this summer in NH or in the fall back here in Moab to see what I mean. I love the desert and I’m already day-dreaming of being back in October/November.

Feeling grateful and just want to thank y’all for reading and for following along the journey!
