Introduction to Rock Climbing

This is a great way to spend the day in North Conway. Being only 10 minutes from Cathedral Ledge and Whitehorse Ledge, there’s something for everyone! You can enjoy beautiful rock climbing and then go to the main strip and enjoy the local amenities and shops North Conway has to offer!

During this course, you will learn everything from putting on a harness, to belaying, to climbing techniques. We will primarily be in single-pitch terrain and be doing something called top-roping. No prior climbing experience is needed! Beginners, families and groups welcome!

Every venue is condition dependent, WMG will pick the best suitable place for us to climb.

North Conway has some amazing access to world class rock climbing. Cathedral Ledge and Whitehorse Ledge has everything from single pitch climbs to 1000 ft. multi-pitch routes graded 5.6-5.11 climbs. This time is designed to help you reach your goals whether that is to start leading routes, both sport and traditional, how to place gear, how to clean gear, how to build anchors, or how to multi-pitch climb! Advanced Rock

Advance your rock climbing skills. Multi-pitch, self rescue, sport or traditional climbing

Our advanced rock climbing is designed for the rock climber who’s had some experience climbing wants to take the next step in their climbing to progress to that next level. Depending on your goal, we can climb classics, we can teach you to set up top ropes, become more efficient with multi-pitch climbing, or how to setup rappels. We spend this time catering to what you want to learn and help you to reach that goal. North Conway, Franconia Notch, Cannon Mountain, Crawford Notch are just a few places we can go explore!

Destination: Moab!

WMG is so exited to announce that we will now be offering trips to Moab every April and November! Due to the heat, sun and scheduling, we will only be offering trips in these months at the moment!

Moab is well known for its mountain biking but the rock climbing there is world class! There’s so much to offer here from single pitch cragging at the world-famous Wall Street, to tower chasing on Castleton Tower or Ancient Art!

The experience of climbing in Moab is like none other. Sandstone is such a unique rock type that us east coasters don’t get to climb that often. Wall Street has some of the best cragging in our eyes with literal roadside cragging! Castleton Tower is a 4 pitch, 350 foot tower with beautiful 360-degree views. Ancient Art is another 4 pitch classic that puts you on top of the wildest feature we’ve ever seen!

Each trip will start with the conversation of “what are your goals"?” From there, we will create custom itineraries to help you reach your goals!
